Lawn Mowing
We offer a weekly or bi-weekly mowing service. This includes a complete mowing of your property, trimming around edges and objects in your yard, and the removal of freshly cut grass from all paved areas and paths. Trust our professionals to keep your lawn looking its best.
Aeration
Help ensure that your yard is in the best shape possible by making sure the root system gets the water, oxygen and nutrients needed. Aerating removes thatch, breaks up compaction and helps grass roots get more air, nutrients, and water. Proper lawn aeration is one of the most beneficial lawn care services you can provide for your lawn. Combine your aeration service with an overseeding service to promote new grass growth and obtain a thicker lawn. This service is typically done at the beginning and/or end of the season (best results when the ground is moist).
Overseeding
Use an overseeding service to fill in thin or bare spots in your lawn. Overseeding also acts as natural weed control by crowding weeds out. Overseeding works best when combined with an aeration service, because it allows the seed to get good soil contact while staying wet longer. This is the key to getting new seed to germinate. This service is typically done at the beginning and/or end of the season.
Irrigation
Yard irrigation is essential in cultivating a healthy lawn, and it’s impossible to have a healthy lawn without proper watering. If you give your lawn and plants too much water, or too little, it can negatively impact your lawn’s health and turn your yard into a patchy mess. Steamboat Lawn Salon’s irrigation service provides you with zone monitoring, sprinkler system repairs, and sprinkler blowouts.

Dethatching/Power Raking/Scarifying
For this service, we use a custom rake to pull up all the dead grass and roots (thatch) to the surface. The debris is then bagged and hauled away. This allows the grass to get sunlight, water, and nutrients much easier. This service is usually done in the early season when the grass is more tolerable of abuse.
Fertilization
Fertilization is one of the essential components of a healthy, green, and lush yard. Often, the soil that grass is grown doesn’t contain all the nutrients and elements that are required for optimal health. Nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium are a few of the most important minerals for grass health. Grass growing in deficient soil will lack the vibrancy and aesthetic appeal of grass that has regular access to these vital nutrients. Some of the benefits of fertilizer include:

Leaf Cleanups
Leaf piles left on the lawn will cause mold to form and kill the grass or plants underneath. We offer leaf cleanups in the spring and fall. Leaves and debris will be cleaned out and removed from garden beds, hardscapes, and turf areas.
Garden Mulching
Beyond the obvious aesthetic benefits, garden mulching discourages weed germination and growth, and helps keep your soil moist and temperate during dry stretches. It also protects plant roots from the ravages of frost during the winter. This service is typically done at the start of the season.
